Well.... Depending on the symptoms it could be lots of things. Make sure it doesn't have access to eat anything but chick feed and warmth and cleanliness. It's hard to treat when we aren't sure of the set up you have and the environment. Sometimes chicks just fail to thrive as well.

In a clean pen then bring them in for the night

Does it have a heat lamp? Could it be eating large grass?

Each broody had one chick, but the cochin was off her nest and not interested in sitting. Her chick was cold and still soaking wet, so I slipped in under the HRIR with the other one. The cochin moved back to her nest after that. Maybe it scared her?

The BCM had that fluffy chick out of the nest and was still sitting on two eggs. Not sure where the other was... I moved the nest and she jumped over the chick, then I put the chick in the nest and she jumped back in and rolled the eggs back under her. Hoping they all get the hang of it.

Hey kiddo, I see that Kathy is helping you. She is very good at treating birds if you can try to answer her questions. She's our local poultry Doctor around here. Her knowledge exceeds mine.
