How could you guys not like pie crust!!!! That's simply unamerican!! Lol

I know. It's just greasy to me.

I'm not big on most fried foods, including donuts. If I'm going to have something sweet, I like chocolate or fruit that is slightly tart. Instead of pie, I really like cobblers and crisps. Much easier to make too!

I have been bringing my little serama pullet in to watch tv for half an hour every night.  It gives her a rest from the constant attention of the 4 cockerels.  The other pullet is mean as sin and beats up all the boys, so PJ takes the brunt of it.  She gets to go in the garage cage for 15 mins by herself to eat and drink, then when the others are put in for the night, she comes and reads byc with me. It's normal!  :)

So what did you end up doing??  The bird rescue people say you can touch the babies.  It is a rare mama bird that won't take them back.  Hummers are so tiny.  Hope it was okay.

The little Towhee fledgling in my backyard seems to have made it just fine.

Took it too Stanislaus wildlife refugee. They said they usually make it unless a cat got at them. Just got home.

Such a gentle, loving man he's grown into. I've known him since he was a camper here in 2004. He was always my camper. He's the twin brother of the friend I had visit during that hard week last summer. He's in a low point in his life, and I'm so glad I got to spend this time speaking truth into him and over him. No one ever sees our strengths like someone who loves us. He was a wild man in 2011, when he served here on staff with his brother. He's still a wild man, a forester. He survived a motorcycle crash at 120 mph, has full-range of motion after crushing parts of his spine and being paralyzed, and is the hardest working person I know, hands down. He's promising to come back often, and for his sake I hope he does. There is a unique healing atmosphere in this place, despite the 100-degree heat. ;)

He cooked all that delicious delicious food practically by himself. I helped chop onions and peppers, and I made the rice. :yesss: I haven't been this full all summer.

Awesome!!!

Hope everyone has had a nice relaxing day! :hugs

Still no goats. BUT I got 13 eggs today, so an egg from every hen but Lagertha and the two broodies! :yesss: Even the elderly Americana hen laid an egg today. And former broody cochin/murderer Mae West!
