I thought my coop and run predator proof. Surprise ! Its not. 3 dead in the run and one in the coop itself. Looked like there was NO wound. but no head either so I dont know how they pulled that off.  Then one chick alive and stuck between the chicken wire and dog kennel.  I set my trap and put it inside the run and locked them up in the coop.

:hit :hugs

Thank you Banty.

Took glamour shots of the young cockerels. Hoping to sell a few. :fl

The @Sally Sunshine babes. Looks like three sapphire roos I guess. :/ Two have yellow legs, the one I thought was a pullet has white legs.

Do they fight?

I have no idea. Lol. I think he felt bad because I've lost most of my flock to a coon or a skunk, so he got online and ordered "assorted rare breeds."
It's going to be an adventure.
I'm in the process of building my Fort Knox coop.

Sounds exciting my first chicks were from mcmurrays called ornamental layers. It was fun to guess what they were.

The young honas squabbled a good bit a few weeks ago, but they've all settled in now. The honas are 7 months old or so. Everyone else is much younger. The tractor babies do a little chest bumping, but no real fighting.
