It is tuff to realize  that you are more responceible for your kids and wife then parent's   part of growing up.   even harder to accept that one of them has problems  or is just bat chit crazy.  

I know it was the alcohol talking. She is gonna feel horrible this morning. He has had a strained relationship with his folks. He's been trying to repair it. Today he's going fishing with his dad. Hoping it all goes well.

true but unless THEY want help AA won't/can't do anything to help speaking as the child of an Acholic

yes but also part of being "normal" And we all need to vent occasionally and just because we love/have great parent's doesn't mean they can not annoy us occasionally.
