Quote: Granny, do you know the difference between 72% and dark chocolate? Which do you like better. They have bittersweet too.

I love the milk chocolate with almonds.

ya, I would bring him here so I didnt have to stress the cat by moving it. But, is it painless or very quick. No way to really know that. Someone recommended valium first. Or benadrly.
Done correctly it is very quick and painless -- the trick is in having someone who knows what they are doing so that the "sweet spot" is hit the first time.

I couldn't do it to a nasty trash marsupial. I could shoot them, though. I got pretty good at it. DH shot a sick cat once. It was a friends pet, and she was too cowardly to even consider the vet.
Yep - I can't be cruel to ANY animal, if it must be dispatched it must be done humanely, no matter what kind of animal it is.

I called the warden once cause a chocolate lab (seems to be a pattern here) came in my yard and killed a chicken. I told him I had it trapped in my barn. I was in the barn playing with it and he showed up with gun drawn. He was going to shot it right then and there. These people here are a different breed then I am used to. LOL
Did you tell him that it had killed the chicken (livestock) when you called? If so, that would likely be the reason for immediate move to dispatching the dog - though even then that would be outside of standard protocol. Jefferson County A/C (I know, you are on the wrong side of the line, but you could always play dumb and call them by accident) was always very good to work with when we'd get strays -- he was prompt, very good at handling animals and always wanted to give them the best shot of either being re-claimed or homed appropriately.

LOL -- looks like everybody went to sleep -- hope you all have sweet dreams...........spent the last few hours looking back through pictures picking out some to put up in frames to hang in the new house, easy to get lost in doing that as you start going down memory lane, when did my kids get so big???? Seems like only yesterday they were the cute little babies in these pictures.........
