Good Morning!!!! Finally have a minute to sit down and say hello -- first round of running for the day is finished, just stopped by the house to drop Z off (took her with us when I ran DS to school so she and I could go by the dog park and get a good play/training session in to wear her out a bit) and then back out to do some more errands........I really need to hurry up and find a job so I have something else to do with my time.

nope I have actually "informed" people if they want to visit to go to the café at the front of the store.

The school supply issue is as old as time. Parents have been complaining about it for years. Eventually they do what I do. The lists are never right anyway especially once you hit high school. Like today... I need to buy nitrite gloves... A planner... Science supplies and such they don't put on the list. I always wait until the first day to see what they really need. I just purchase the pens pencils and composition notebooks for the beginning of the year.

Ehh, by the time they hit middle and especially high school and are rotating in and out of classes it is impossible to put together a comprehensive list of supplies that fits ahead of time because each class/teacher has their own things the kids will need as opposed to elementary where they have just one teacher and that one teacher can predict what they will need for the year on one list. It's not something that bothers me at all because, as you said, you just do basics and then when they get into the specific classes they can tell you what will be needed for the year.

DD just told me she will be here in the am. I hope the drugs they give me keeps my mouth shut.

you actually think that might work

isn't it usually the other way around and you loose your inhibitions????

I see you changed your location. thanks for the pep talk . I have said that myself a few times. just not TO myself I guess.

Hi twist!! Just got a bunch of texts from the kids... I guess I'm buying more school supplies today. Specific stuff for certain classes. I'll be back later.

they gave CB a list of what he needed and I bought it all then when he took it to school they took it away from him and put it in a box for those that didnt buy what they needed.  That was kinda crappy. Like, they asked for 8 glue sticks and took 6 of them.

Yeah, that's baloney. We do that here, but the teacher had us label everything and they save it through the year. We also send TONS extra.
