Hello, chicken peeps! I'm an American living in Britain. I've kept pekin bantams (are they called cochins in the States? The little ones with the feathery feet) for ten years. I've always wanted Poland bantams (believe they're called Polish in the States - the ones with the gigantic feathery hairdo).
So...I bought myself an incubator and some internet eggs. Everybody told me they wouldn't all hatch. They all hatched. I keep a tiny flock: six is my optimum, but I usually have less than that. Now I have to integrate *seven* little squeakers into my flock of three (two roosters and a hen - long story).
Anyway, the babies are getting on for five weeks old and I'm making myself crazy trying to spot the cockerels.
She knows she's beautiful (please be a girl, please be a girl, please be a girl...)
