Growing grass in the run successfully!

Hello! I had success growing rye berries in the run. I soaked them overnight in water and the next day i sprinkled them in a designated section of the run and covered them with some 1/2 inch hardware cloth we made a frame for. After a week i raised the hardware cloth by putting stones under the frame.

Awesome! It's amazing how fast those little dinosaurs will tear through grass!
This spring I had a vacant run that I won't be using for another couple weeks. Decided to take advantage of that! And look! - Success!

Nice! We section off a part of the outer run to grow grass and clover. Unfortunately, the pullets can fly over the fencing and have been eating it. LOL
