Guess the breed!

I picked up a few chicks from our feed store from their strait run bin. They order their chicks from Privett Hatchery. This little thing is 5-6 weeks old. I don't have a clue. Does Privett sell mixed breeds? She/he is a pretty thing regardless.

I'm not sure what it is either...at first blush I thought Crevecoeur, but wrong comb type, and Privett doesn't list that breed. It does have some crested breeds though.

Privett also lists Sicilian Buttercups in its list of breeds...it could possibly be a cross between a Sicilian and some crested breed as I believe the Buttercup is a dominant type comb.

Sometimes "oops" do happen in the hatchery, or a bird simply has the wrong comb type and would be culled from the breeding program if it were in a breeders pen.

I'm interested in what others think so will be following too....interesting looking bird.


at 5 weeks, with that much comb, I think it must be a roo.

Looks like a La Fleche to me, if Privett carries them.
