She didnt line it up i did, and we aint in the buisness of wounding animals to chasse a mile or never find. She aint shot the gun in two seasons always used something different and the scope has just seen its better days. Happy or not i wouldnt put my wife out there to miss or need more than one shot because not every shot is 50yards and that is the scopes absolute limits at this time.
I love my wife to be happy but im not dumb enough to put her out there with something broke and unsafe period.
Sorry, I misunderstood. I thought she was actually using it on a fairly regular basis. I agree with you about not giving her something that's not safe.
Its alright like i said ill give her my scope when i get me another as ive already got 1inch Leupold mounts for her Remmy.
Nc star is a cheapo to start with and its probably more than ten years old and has leaked all the nitrogen or what have you out. This is the reason people will but double the amount of money in good glass as they did in the rifle and a rem700 is nothing to sneeze at asfar as a rifle and aftermarket goes, so it deserves more lol.
I'm an old retired law enforcement officer and have a great appreciation of handguns. I have given my long guns to my son. Currently, I have three hand guns; a 40 caliber Glock, a 9mm Glock, and a 380 Glock. There is no telling how many rounds that I have fired from these guns and never had a misfire. They are reliable, easy to clean, and the smaller guns are easily conceal. I don't work for Glock, but I sure can attest to how reliable mine have been.
I bought me and my wife turns out its more cough cough cough the wifes now Bersa thunder 380 not a bad round to shoot and honestly not a bad gun for what i have invested.
The 3x9x50 Hawke vantage is now monted on the wifes 700. Have have recoated her leupold scope monts and rings aswell as the trigger guard for her. Now she does want the scope caps done in muddy girl and a muddy girl sling to finish the subtle look off at some point.
The vortex came in today its FOV is slighty better than the hawke and both are about equals as far as glass goes maybe abit above the hawke by a slight margin. Im pleased with it so far no complaints it seems to be top notch this one will stay on the ruger for aslong as i own it and the hawke will live out its life on the wifes Rem700, now the fun part re zeroing these 270s!
