You can buy the gun you linked over the counter of walmart here. Its not an "assault weapon" like the military version that looks the same. One bullet per trigger pull.


Here in Ga, anyone that is not a felon can carry a loaded long gun almost anywhere in the state.

You need a "Gun Totters License," now called "Ga weapons Carry License" to carry hand guns an knives with over 4 inch blades.
To get the license you have to pass a in depth FBI background check. If you pass they must give it to you. There are some places off limits. Church being one of them. But no county of city can make laws restricting guns so the laws are the same state wide. There is no concealment, holster or welding laws so you are free to carry how every you want, even in hand. Ga has a strong Open carry movement. Its so normal that the "man with gun" calls most states fear, almost never happen here. In 7 years of OCing it has never happened to me.


I know buying a hand gun takes doing a simple background check that takes seconds. I dont know if its required for long guns but I think it is. Ether way 99% of people can walk in an walk out with a new gun an 15 to 20 minutes.




Ga law also says that any state that excepts our license in there state we automatically except there license in our state.

Not in Ga, military are exempt from having to have a weapons carry license. They can get one for out of state carry reasons though.

Here in NC, if you want to get a handgun, you've got to get a pistol permit. Costs $5, and you've gotta wait five days. After that? You're in the clear. You buy your pistol, nobody knows but you and the seller. You've gotta buy another permit, though, for another pistol.

Long guns? You go in, you buy it, you sign a paper. Or something along those lines.

Long gun meaning anything that isn't a pistol - so if you want an AK-47 or an AR-15, there's no ridiculous permit process, thank goodness.

Of course, there are always gun shows, too. I'm not sure if a pistol permit is required there, but it's a lot of private sellers, so there's even less paperwork. Gander Mountain is a fantastic store (how can you NOT love a place that has military weapons ranging from the PS-90 to a .50 cal rifle?), but their prices are really high.

I'll tell ya, though, reading some of these stories makes me glad to live in the South! I'd go insane in IL or CA. Sounds like you need a freaking permit for everything except using the bathroom.

I just looked up my state laws.Looks you can buy a handgun,but to carry it outside of the home you would need to take a class($114) and get a permit($67).Not so bad I guess.
Doesn't seem to be any laws regarding the rifles and shotguns.Me, I like guns,but dh isn't really into them.

If he ever gives the OK beyond a bb gun then everyone in the house can do a gun use/safety course.

Ohio laws are not that bad. Yes you can go to buy one at Walmart ,just fill out a form for background check. you can leave with one within a hour. Thats long guns. hand guns take a few days to get.

Gun can be carry ,but not conceal. Can carry conceal with permit ,after taking a class ,cost little over 100.00.

Time have changed , if the past lot of people here carry gun in gunrack in their trucks. Still can ,but gun can not be loaded. Good way to get one stole now.

Last I heard ohio still had open carry, but need a permit for concealed.
Background check for handguns is pretty fast. If the computers are up the background check only takes a couple minutes.

There is a local (MO) car lot that is having a "buy a truck, get a gun" promotion.

I live in Arizona, I believe we are one of the most pro-gun states. Here all I need to buy a gun at most places is a state ID and that's about it. Also I can carry concealed without a permit, and I believe I can bring a gun into a bar as long as I don't drink.
