Had sick chicks dumped at my door, pics included, have some questions

yea acv will help break down the ingested food thnx for suggesting it i completely forgot about ti

Well, we went outside and added some ACV and olive oil to their water. I also tried to get a little bit of olive in their mouths and swallowed - it wasn't appreciated, lol. I massaged....as well as I could as I've never given a chicken a massage before. I'll do it again in the morning...hopefully they're still alive in the morning.

One of the first things I would do is get them some grit...that would help alot towards breaking down whatever is in there. Poor little babies!!! Maybe some vitamins...poly vi sol without iron? Good luck...I so hope they make it through the night.

Chick Starter and fresh water, along with baby grit to move those worms out. This story just ticks me off.

So glad you're there for them. :hugs I'll be watching this thread and hoping for the best.

Yes, I put plenty of grit in there for them. I poured it over the top of their food and sprinkled some in the bedding to give them something to scratch around for. They were all 3 chowing down on it last I looked at them. I don't know, I don't dare hope yet that they survive. But...I do sorta hope, kwim? I've brought a chicken or two back from the brink before, maybe I can do it again.

It ticks me off too. The poor old guy checking me out at TSC had to try and sweet talk me a bit to get me to calm down because I couldn't even swipe my debit card correctly, lol. Honestly, some people who think animals are toys...people are twits...

After surviving for 5 days in those conditions, these little guys deserve a chance. Thanks for taking them in and caring enough to help. They have a strong will to live, hopefully, that will carry them through this!
