I really hope I don't get a surprise like THAT hatching out of my eggs.OUR 411..
Doing things out of our usual procedure to make this hatch more of a mystery than typical.
Only collection dates recorded on the Eggs. The Breed is not noted so it will be more of a surprise on hatch day.
Nothing but mix crosses. No pure Breed. Trying to create one of a kind Frankenstein birdies for the Scream Theme Holiday.

Also have done a Pre Incubation weigh in. Each of the 31 eggs have been marked with their weight and will be updated upon candling & all the way to day 18.
View attachment 1156956We usually do hand turn them but in a homemade rack and pointed downwards. And we just change the tilt direction 4/5 times a day.
This batch will be having each egg turned individually and orientation adjusted as well.
Current Stats.
Incubator Temp: 99.9* to 100.8*F (still air)
Room Temp: 96*F
Incubator R.H. 44%
Room R.H. 55%
Batch was started at the stroke of Midnight, the second it turned from the 9th and into the 10th.
Hoping to have the majority hatch during day hours and having a little rest that night.
DH is making plans for my updates and such to help keep it interesting and such. As long as the power stays on.. I am good. Hurricane ruined my backup battery.
This is going to be a blast!

All "SET"!!
31 due on 31
So I ended up finding a used brinsea octagon 20 for sale from a breeder who is moving. I also happened upon some free silkie eggs from someone in my town. I also had some two week old eggs in the fridge from my old silkieso out of sentiment I thawed them out yesterday and put all the eggs in the bator just now
They say brinsea are idiot proof, but I don't know guys, I might be a idiot haha
I found 2 more serama eggs! She had them buried in the shavings lol. I now have 4 in the bator!

It starts! (don't mind the opened egg in the background. He pipped on the wrong side and was trying to zip the long way around the egg. So I opened it up a little to try and help. )
