Most of my pre Halloween babies are staying in the goat barn with the slightly older EE chicks. One of the Buffy babies is getting a lovely coppery gold look and a few of the others are getting visible barring along with their gold (kind of a partridge pattern with a Buff Orpington head). I am keeping the young mini chicken with the babies still, since he's about the same size as a 2 week old chick. The polish x cochin is beginning to get his hair do. The black cochin turned into a really cool splash frizzle, but unfortunately he died just as I was beginning to really appreciate him.

Murphy and company are still in the brooder, separate now from the younger chicks and rapidly outgrowing their space. I'm going to have to find something else for them soon.
