My Hovatherm seems to be pretty accurate, all things considered. I've also got the $12 combine Hygro/Therm from Wally World. No real complaints either way, but I won't put the Hygro/Therm into the bator either.

Well, one bit of good news, not that I'm believing it but the Blue Rock egg I cracked back in week one - tada! - is still alive and looks to be ready to hatch along with the others. Now there's a miracle for you. If that one hatches I'll flat be amazed.

lol... sounds like you're assuming i haven't been candeling them every day.. or at least every other day... lol..

i did candle one or 2 last night because my oldest son and my mom wanted to see...
and my hubby actually wanted to see too.. i was shocked...
he has shown 0 interest so far...

I actually candled one night for some friends who came over. Two of the ducklings were kicking pretty hard. The "duck show" went over well.

lol... well if egg activity has any relation to chick activity, i've got 5 really obnoxious chicks and one super mellow one coming.. lol....

seriously.. 5/6 of them were constantly moving....
the other i had to watch for a minute and the movement was more subtle....

oohh when i looked last night, there was still a little bit of the egg that wasn't airsac that i could still see through... should i worry?? or is that normal?? it's like maybe 5-10% of the part that's chick....

OMG.. .am i really going on lock down in a few hours???
