Your smaller eggs are pullets eggs as your hen gets older your eggs get bigger and they hatch just the same as a bigger egg.The chick will grow to same size as normal...I asked the same question when mine started to lay...

My SS eggs were shipped yesterday, so I should be aiming for a Halloween hatch as well. Funny, until it was mentioned here, I never paid attention to the hatch date.
YEAH! Halloween is sacred in my family. What an awesome way to celebrate! Even better, I'm off work that night for a rare change.
Oh, this is going to be a great Halloween!
I think I will put the duck 'pullet' eggs in there, too, just for grins and giggles.

Add me to the list, I just put a bunch of eggs in last night about 5 pm. This will probably be my last hatch of the season, well, that is what I am saying for now. BLRW and Wellies for next season.
