It's actually day 18 here and I think I heard a peep.... I sure hope I'm hearing things....

anyone know of a way to gues at humidity?? lol.. i put sponged in there, but i have absolutley no clue what the humidity is.... the humidity outside the house is 22% lol.. i just checked on the weather site thing.. lol...

I have that topped, mine is OUTSIDE on the patio. But I went to add water and thought I heard a peep.

I moved my bators in my daughters old bedroom...I keep a humidifier in there that way I just up it on hatch day.I also add a wet sponge... Working out great so far..

oohh nnoooo!!!!!!!!

i checked the temp in the bator when i was checking to see if the sponges were still wet... it was down to the low 90's... ACK....someone hand me a gun so i can shoot murphy.......

not sure how long it was down for... think it's bad?? i hope not.. all the eggs were fine last night... but i read that it takes their energy to stay warm when temps drop.. and they need that energy to hatch...

I think we have some gentlemen in our midst, so a sorority is out. We could be a holiday hatching club.

tis true, you girls are not the only ones who enjoy hatching baby chicks now lol. Maybe i should look up some recipes in my old text books from a year or so back to share here with everyone. I have a degree in culinary art's but really have yet to find a good job in it lol.

Very sleepy. Pictures later. 2 Buff OrpingtonX chicks (1 buff-Spooky, 1 red-??? help me name him? My brain is tired) hatched last night/this morning amid falling temperatures on day 18/early day 19. I finally got the humidity up. It helped that it rained.
