count me in - I set eggs today - couldn't help myself

I have a buff orp hen who insists on laying in the barn - today I found 8 of her eggs up in the hay, so what else could I do?

Hey, 3chickens, thanks for posting "the party list," on your oringinal post!

I received more eggs today, and will set them in the bator at midnight tonight. They are Lavender Orpingtons project eggs.

Well, while you guys have all been enjoying the party, and playin' games, I have been working.

Ya know, that reminds me ... I noticed there is heat around the motor on my egg turner. Have you ever noticed that? I am thinking that the eggs back in that area probably are warmer than the others. Could that be possible?

ETA: (I didn't want to make ANOTHER post)... Anyone have pictures to share? Maybe pictures of what kinds of chicks you are hatching, or ???​

3chickens, sorry about the ? part about my eggs. Since these are my "barn eggs" I really don't know who the parents are, other than the white ones are OEGB (they mostly keep to themselves), the pink ones come from my Buff Orpington hen but are likely crosses, and the brown ones I'm still trying to figure out, since dear little Red keeps telling me he's a rooster.

Here is a cross section of the guys and gals we have. The ones in the pen are mainly siblings of the eggs I've collected, though Buffy is a parent.
