theoretically past 6 weeks they shouldn’t be able to, but i have seen a chukar squeeze through chain link at 2-3 months old!! so i would recommend covering with hardware cloth or watching closely at first.Oh! I have been meaning to ask, can the adult quail fit through the bars of a dog kennel? I keep thinking they can, and it would make my life easier.
I have five whole eggs so far.now your arm has officially been twisted!!! hahahaha
still a few more days.....i have more than enough eggs but tonight’s fertility check was not a good sign!!! i may have to set more initially to hatch my planned “small batch”I have five whole eggs so far.
I have seen zero mating and there is zero noise so I don't have high hopes.still a few more days.....i have more than enough eggs but tonight’s fertility check was not a good sign!!! i may have to set more initially to hatch my planned “small batch”
did you open some of the accidental refrigerator eggs to check fertility??.....i was running 90+% fertility until I offed a bunch of males.....and i’m thinking my collected eggs include some new layers due to size differences.....so not so sure with this batch.I have seen zero mating and there is zero noise so I don't have high hopes.
