No, they really aren’t important.
Hahaha y'all are confusing me :gigThis has me laughing hysterically. I guess it's all a learning curve for everyone. I have to start from somewhere.

My friend who lives down the road told me that she hopes all 40 hatch and I told her that I would be sending them to her house :lau pack them little to go bags and off they go :frow

We all have our own ways, but I really don’t know that anyone uses them after a few hatches.

Huggies leak despite the cost. Pampers are okay, but I prefer Luvs. I won’t use generics.
“Live, learn then get Luvs” is more than a slogan.
Experience, m’dear.

And where do you stick the fish tank thermometer? Stick it on the plastic top or is there a better location o should use
I use four...I space them out.

It's common to have a slightly cooler or hotter spot.
This is why some people rotate the eggs around within the bator daily.

You will learn what's best with your bator...it just takes a few hatched to figure thing out.

Have you been runner ng it now before you even put the eggs in to see how it holds temp?

Yes, I've been running it to see how the temp and humidity hold. I got both things you recommended. I had to put the humidity thing upside down in order to fit with the egg turner. I used waterproof tape and taped the fish tank thermometer mid egg height.

Ok I didn't because my humidity is at 59 without both of them with one in it was at 65
Remove some water. It would be better, I think, if you can get it down to 40%.

thinking about setting eggs today. I wanted to hatch quail but my quail just stopped laying i'm not sure why. Maybe I can find some eggs though.
have you been giving supplemental light?? mine slowed for a couple weeks due to the shorter days but since i added a coup,e hours of light most evenings, i’m back up to around a dozen per day.....
