Halloween/Thanksgiving Hatch-a-Long 2019

Pics
I gave my husband all his gifts the first week of December :gigThe kids have to wait. I let them open 1 on Christmas Eve, It's what my parents let us do when we were little.

Maybe I'll hatch eggs as my Christmas gift this year.
i did a christmas hatch last year and then gifted myself with my eggs for 2nd quail hatch!!:lau

They probably can, but I wanted to support someone on BYC. I'm waiting for someone to get certified, their the first person I want to buy fertile eggs from.
i got my first button eggs from an ebay shipper out of virginia.....if you are ever interested in hatching buttons, I can try to find the info. in-state shippers usually not subject to same regulations. the ones that hatched were beautiful!!

Do you have any pics? What's the difference with buttons?

I'm not familiar with the differences and probably sound foolish lol

no question is ever foolish.....buttons are the smallest quail. other name is “chinese painted quail” they are typically kept as indoor pets due to size and not tolerating temps below 50* well. the pic outside is of my “benjamin button”. he was a lone male from my original hatch and unfortunately we lost him in a raccoon attack the day before his potential mate (the indoor pics) was due to hatch.
