I started on a small scale free ranging again. After losing three of my hens to a stupid neighbors stupid mutt. I put up a 50 foot High voltage stainless steel razor wire fence with machine gun towers.:cool:just kidding. A four foot enclosure around the run so I can let them out when I'm in the yard. At least it will slow down the dogs enough so I can get my gun(Kidding I would if I could )
enough time to get the flock in. I have started feeding them grapes they were on sale. So now all but one run up to me every time they see me crying for a grape. The little broody hen (Cutie) jumped up in my lap and stood there till all the grapes were gone:D. So now I have all but one of the new hens eating out of my hands.

That's sweet! My chicks are fully feathered except for a little dandelion down but the only food they'll take from my hand is chick starter.
