Hands on hatching and help

Will going upside down make a difference? Also they had a shadow near the air sack and then a few hours later were in there so I am pretty sure and thanks for all the help!! Could the holes just be really small that I can't see them?! Could I wake up tomorrow and just find a load of duckling?!! I am really anxious to make the safe hole!!do I have to? I am worried about hitting the duckling? Should I help now or wait till the morning?!!! Any advice would be amazing!

Shadowing is another thing they do when they are CLOSE to hatching.

The holes are not ment for you to see them, it's only ment so oxygen can get in for them to continue breathing.

No, they probably will not be out tomorrow, they are close but they are slow.

If he is JUST now shadowing, how can he be internally pipping for two days? They usually shadow first then internally pip, then externally pip.

it doesn't sound like he's ready yet, CLOSE but not quite ready. If your not comfortable about the hole, then hang tight for tomorrow. If you are, then good it's not going to hurt him unless you go in to deep so becareful. LOL

I was saying that they shadowed 2 dayys ago and then 1:5 days ago they internal pipped!! Do u think they have externally pipped but not visible? Could they zip without me seeing the external pip?! Xx

LOL, OK, I got cha now,

No, youll see them once they zip. its something they will not hide.. LOL

it is possible they may have started to externally and you can't see the hole, that's why I asked you if you could feel the egg for any bumps. just hold the egg in your hand and feel all around it..

I don't know if there are any bumps as I have popped out for a bit and can't look and do you have an idea of when they are going to come!!
