Nobody told me how cuddly turkeys are! Good thing these were intended to be pets or I'd be in trouble trying to eat them. I've had to cover their brooder because twice now I've been awoken in the night by both of them getting out of the brooder and into bed with me to snuggle.

Oh how sweet!! I didn't realize turkey's were that people friendly. :)

Oh, yes! Turkey poults imprint easier and stronger than Call ducks, lol!
Ask @WalnutHill ... we hatched some poults from her this spring... super friendly even now, and they're huge!
 
I never thought a turkey could be pretty until I saw the Royal Palms.


I love royal palms. I would've gone with them but I was able to pick up four Narragansett eggs locally so I ended up going with them. They're actually quite pretty too - at least displaying males are.

Also, check out ocellated turkeys :)
