Hard cooked eggs

Last night I tried the steam method to get fresh eggs to peel easily and guess what? It worked!! Oh, there were a couple of rough spots but I NEVER could have boiled them and have them come out so good. Thanks. merry

Slow boiled eggs
8 eggs
skin of one onion
2 tea bags

Boil pot of water, then turn to low heat, put skin of one onion, and 2 tea bags, and eggs into pot and let simmer for 6 HOURS. The eggs will have a nice drown color and the yolks will be creamy.

Thanks for sharing this idea. I have been a bit frustrated with the hard boiled eggs not peeling. How long do you steam them? I can't wait to try it.

I just reread the original post. Duh!

I'm definitely interested in trying to steam my eggs. There is nothing more frustrating than trying to peel enough eggs for 7 people to have egg salad sandwiches and it ends up taking 45 minutes to peel them!

Get someone else to do it.
