Hard, Swollen ear lobe

I had this same problem with my hen just six weeks ago, she must of had some kind of injury because after it went down, it had bluey/green bruising.

I just mixed a couple of drops of Oil of Oregano into scrambled egg and gave daily. It cleared after about 4/5 days.

That looks just like what my hen has. I'll try the oil of Oregano. Thanks!

I hadn't considered a sharp object going all the way through. I'm trying my my hardest not to "pick" it but that seems the next step. When I put my fingers around it the substance inside seems separated into a round mass, not connected to anything. I can move it around.
I'm with you. I would pick the scab to try to drain it. Chickens have a slightly higher body temperature so may fight off infection eventually, and they usually don't ACT sick until it's too late to help, but I would think helping it to drain, maybe flushing with peroxide, and applying some sort of topical anti biotic or antibacterial spray would really help. Abscesses can be firm rather than soft and squishy (as in rabbits).

If the oil of oregano doesn't help, then you might try using a syringe to see if you can draw anything out. Since it feels hard and moves around it may be pus. I'd be inclined to observe for a while and see if it gets better slowly, or gets worse. If you decide to mess with it, I would have some blood stop on hand as it may bleed a lot.

Rattle snakes come in all sizes. They start out in life just six inches long and fangs half an inch apart. Unfortunately, I've seen fang marks that close together when my cat got bit.

You can try hot compresses on the lobe to reduce welling, counter infection. Two weeks after the fact, though, there isn't much to be done. Her body is dealing with it or she wouldn't be acting normally.

I found a post from @Eggcessive where she had a hen with a similar condition. I think she used amoxicillin and had a full cure.
I haven’t treated a swollen ear, but have posted when there is an ear infection, on how to treat one. This looks more like an injury or bite. I agree with others on trying to see if there is pus inside.
