hardware cloth

I ordered something from amazon yesterday and delivery is a month away.
it's because it's not a 'shipped by amazon' product.
This is the msg that is showing up when it's being fulfilled by Amazon:
Extended delivery time: We’re temporarily prioritizing the delivery of some items in order to serve our customers in need and ensure the safety of our associates. As a result, some delivery times are longer than usual. Amazon's response to COVID-19.

They did that to me once and finally said I was never going to get it. :(

I already asked for (and got) my money back. They claimed they weren't going to be unable to stop it from being sent (of course, it still hasn't been sent) but it still shows up as a pending order with another bumped out mail date. I even bought a different shower head in the interim, no problems getting that and installing it.

I like the 1/8th inch hardware cloth, but it only comes in 27 guage. Can I use that for coop windows and over a larger wire?

I went with 19 gauge galvanized after welding hardware cloth in 1/2 x 1/2". Bought three 100' x 4' rolls off of amazon. "Amagabeli 48x100 1/2Inch Hardware Cloth Galvanized Welded Cage Wire 19 Gauge Fence" on Amazon.

My run had probably 35 sections. I first tried to roll out multiple "sections" at the time, but it was much easier to do each one separately. The roof was a real PITA. You'll also quickly learn that the moment you get things lined up right, you'll run out of staples. Or you'll realize the tool you need is on the opposite side of the wire. A helping hand would be priceless when it comes to putting this stuff up.

I had some giant shears that made cutting it pretty easy.

Pretty secure IMO. 100% of every seam has been sandwiched with trim boards. Underground the cloth goes about 12" deep on average.

Even for the small run on the in-town, backyard coop my DH built it in sections on the ground with the wire attached then raised the sections -- just like carpenters frame walls in sections on the ground then raise them.
