Has anyone made a proposal to change the Standard on dubbing combs?

A dunk of the head in a bucket of water does well too. Mine are done on cool mornings before they get to moving much. Most times either no bleeding or a little ooze. I dont in summer it looks like a murder scene lol
Peacomb is much easier than straight comb

What would you all think if dubbing wasn’t a requirement, but there is no penalization if you do dub?
People would probably still dub, if they’re real competitive. The dubbed birds would almost always win, because the most competitive breeders prefer the dubbed look.

You should see how proud a newly trimmed chicken looks. Its like they know their a cock now. You just gotta see it to understand
FYI technically a cock is 2 years old typical dub is done around 10 months here

I can agree to this I trimmed one last week that complete exploded with pride the next day he had a pea comb that covered one eye now he’s probably the proudest bird I have always scratching around and cutting a wing defiantly makes them happier

I do have a question about cockerel dubbing. From what I understood reading, at certain times of the year, cockerels under 6 months don't have to be dubbed, correct? I think it was before November, but i don't have my standard with me now.

I could be completely wrong and thinking of something totally different though

Never heard of anything like that.
