Im looking to get some input from the people who have ordered from Meyer Hatchery. Did the chicks you ordered arrive safely and were they healthy? Were there any problems with your orders? Im just wanting to know because I was thinking of order ameraucanas from them because they are cheaper but I was just wanting to know what other people had experienced when ordering from them first.

i just ordered from them yesterday. first time ordering from them. i have 25 white leghorn pullets coming the week of march 7th. i will let you know how they are when they arrive.

Yes, I ordered 25 chicks last fall and they are now laying very, very well.

The buying experience was top drawer. 100% alive. No bonus chicks in my box. Here the Meyer's box.

I hear only good things about them..................and I have been checking out hatcheries a while now.

Well I am getting 8 chicks from mypetchicken today or tomorrow. If you looks at meyer and mypetchicken then look at chick availibility it is obvious that they are the same thing. I am quite excited.

It's possible...My Pet Chicken is located in Connecticut, has no storefront, and has a New Jersey phone number. Meyer is in Ohio, utterly and totally. The Meyer folks are the nicest! I had trouble placing an order once, and the manager, Charlotte, just kept me posted with emails until we resolved the issue. Plus you can't beat the 3-chick minimum, although you do pay for it in shipping!

I had ordered chicks from them back in December. I haven't heard from them, but the 5 Black Australorp, 4 NH Reds and 2 Americauna's are suppose to be here either today (which the PO hasn't called me, so they must not have arrived today), tomorrow, or Friday. At least that was the understanding when I ordered.

I ordered from them last June, 6 chicks. They were great!. One did die at 1 week. No roosters. The 2 americanas lay blue green eggs. It was a welsummer that died and the other one just started laying last week. The egg is very dark. I really wish I had that 2nd one now. Yesterday was my first day to get all 5 to lay (2 cochin's also) and they were all in the same nest. I was really happy when I saw that. I may order more this summer and it will be from them.

My very first order was from them last summer, and I continued to order from them all summer long. They are very friendly and very helpful. But, I only live 15 minutes down the street from them.

One order I placed last summer had an extra meatie in it and also one of my meaties died a couple days after I got it

and they replaced it, no questions asked.

I would recommend them to anyone (but I don't know about their shipping) Sorry.

My experience with the was horrible! Nothing I can prove, but my post office person said the stickers on the boxes showed the chicks sat on Meyers loading dock for more than 24hrs before being picked up by the post office.

The second shipment didn't arrive in much hbetter shape. Of 50+ shipped in total less than 15 survived.

I will NOT order from them or MPC again.
