Has anyone placed an order with Cackle Hatchery? I am going to be placing a small order with them, of the Town/City specials. They will allow you to order 3, 5, or 10 pullets at a time and they pack them with heat pads or whatever is needed for that time of year so that they will stay warm enough.
I am going to be spitting an order of 10 with my mom (6 for me, 4 for her)...they charge a flat rate of $58 (shipping and vaccines included). I looked at how much it would be to do the 15 minimum order, and it was only a couple dollars cheaper with shipping, and when I included vaccines, it was more expensive...plus I would have the issue of finding someone to take the extra chicks that we don't need. So this looked like my best option. (there are no local places that sell chicks).
Anyway...long story short...have you ordered from them before and what was your experience?
