"why are you stalking my children".... ummm.... uh ohh.

more feather views, what do you think??

I've noticed that when Hope stretches her wings, I can see the feathers starting to come in.
They look like such a happy family!

I love how they ride on the hen's back

What a stink eye Mom is giving in pic 6. BAWWHHAA ..and the chicks on her back ...AWWWE! So cute .Glad Hope made it and is fine.

YES! The last egg was dead! (This is prolly weird for me to cheer about that, but now I can put Hope in her brooder!) It smelled like vomit when I opened the top, so I threw it out. Now I can put Hope in her brooder! :D I'll post pictures later!

To add to woes a windstorm blew in at 7 this morning and by 7:35 power was out. It was restored a half hour later - no worries for incubator and hatcher but lone chick wasn't happy.
I have 50 two week old freedom rangers in an outbuilding feathering out nicely but I think I'll try to find the smallest one to put with the lone ranger for company and heat.

This wind is supposed to be with us all day with lows tonight in low 20s.

I'm going to be making sure the generator works today.
Was a Gail! Glad its over today
Turned one of my narrow runs over and all my chickens gave up & went in the coops and stayed and they are pretty crowded to stay in ...4 small tractor coops!
I had plastic over the runs and it flapped and flapped until some shredded .NOne blew away oddly enough
Man i dont remember wind ever that strong for so long.Fortunately i didnt loose my electric here but i had rocks and bricks in the oven heating off and on all day in case
Eggs in the bator and chicks in the bathroom..
..My coops have light bulbs to warm them, God mine are such wooses or more like i am. Dont want them too cold...

Little bit premature but I believe the little one has a great chance of making it. There was a little blood from the veins he didn't full get. But he is doing great so far; it's been an hour since the hatch so I think that he will make it.
