Hatch Along - Setting eggs June 7th.....anyone else?

I just set 36 guinea eggs and the expected hatch date is June 4th. I need to take pics of the guineas I hatched a month ago and a week ago. The week old guineas are pied guineas..

Eva

P.S. I also have a baby pekin duck I hatched about a month ago.

I have 3 thermometers in mine (no fan)
Actually Stephanie, I think your idea is better. I have seen people use the three thermometers like you are. I have noticed that the temp from the "water wiggler" is the same as the thermometer laying on my eggs. I have been considering taking my water wiggler thing out because it takes up so much space!

I would love to join in. I just set 22 eggs this afternoon ( I was only going to get a couple more chickens...). This is my first time so I am definitely a nervous egg mom.

In the "oven" are:
(purchased)
3 blue copper marans
3 black copper marans
5 blue-splash english orphingtons
5 olive eggers
2 Australorp x Black EE Roo
2 Blue EE x Black EE Roo
2 Partridge Rock (different chickens) X Black EE Roo

The last 6 are from my current girls and my roo. Supposedly he carries the blue gene so we shall see what they look like. I am using the Brinsea Eco currently 45% and 99.6 degrees. I ended up putting in another temp/humidity monitor as the top was off during testing. Here are my eggs :)

My temps on the eggs right now are 100.5 and 99.5. The meter on the wall is at 99. I read tonight that w/o a fan, the temp should be around 100-102 rather than 99.5. We just cut the AC off for the night. That might make it heat up a bit. The humidity is at 52. I think that should be a little higher too. I added a small cup of water a little while ago. The humidity had dropped to under 40.

I think I will set my alarm and check on my eggs at least once during the night. I don't want what happened last night to happen again! I awoke this morning to an incubator temp of 90!

Hello!

Would love to join you!

I have:

24 silkies due to hatch Monday
5-6 Copper Marans to hatch the 13th
1 Welsh Harlequin duck to hatch June 15th
3 Welsh ducks to hatch June 18th
3 Welsh ducks to hatch Jun 26th
1 Call duck to hatch June 24th

I have 24 cochins to arrive next week, some cochin/silkie cross and some call ducks as well. This is my grand finale or my DH might kill me! This is my first year to hatch and I am addicted!

Giggling...ummmm ya think? I'm probably right behind you!

Wow..got home from work and there were so many new replies here! I'm setting mine tonight. I think the humidity might be tough to keep in the right range and kind of worrying about it. The temp seems stuck at 99 degrees. Will it increase when I get the eggs in? I have a Havobator 1588.
