These are my 3 BCMS (yes even the light colored one turned out to be a BCM) the one laying down in the fist pic is a blue cooper marans.
My chicks colors vary so much I am probably of no help for you to figure your chicks colors out
the one standing
So precious! I love the light colored one with the dark head. I have never seen maran chicks. They are super cute. How many more are you waiting to hatch?
My is ranging between 60-68%. It goes up after a chick pops out, and then drops a little. Since this is my first hatch with the incubator, I wasn't sure what humidity level I'd want, but this seems to be working well. Whenever I removed chicks early in my old Hovabator, I'd drop in a folded warm, wet paper towel, and that always seemed to work fine to keep the humidity up.What's your humidity now? I have an LG still air. Apparently, you can get away with less humidity in it, but went with advice of Sally Sunshine on another thread. 65% + is working for me! I did a staggered hatch too & worried the last 3 would drown from the high humidity, but no! The last 3 are still rolling around & starting to cheep! Think they'll hatch tomorrow, a day early like the first bunch. I put in a microwaved damp cloth. Nice & hot - steam gets humidity up super fast! Like a minute or less. Best of luck to you!
I'm using a LG still air too. I have three sponges in there, one in a bowl of hot water. The other two were steaming and hot when I put them in. My humidity was at 40% and now t is only at 43%! So frustrating! The relative humidity inside the house is 50%. I'm thinking it should be going up! Maybe I will try the microwaved damp cloth next. How long do you put in the microwave for? What's your humidity now? I have an LG still air.
