OK OK, so I have received eggs packed in many ways and I pack specifically the way I like to receive mine, UNBROKEN and hatch-able.

Shelley has sent eggs to me in the 10 packs (plastic), as long as you know how to pack them right, and not squish the eggs in, it's all good. That method works fine. I ship in 12 packs with the flat tops. I have big eggs and shelley has some big eggs they fit in there.

It's personal preference and I have had cases not using the plastic cartons and the eggs came smashed to the customer. So that is just my two cents...

The eggs barely fit in these and they were loosely taped shut. They didnt even shut all the way. I'll get a picture tomorrow and you can tell me if thats the kind you use or not.

Are you referring to these? https://www.gqfmfg.com/store/comersus_viewItem.asp?idProduct=17

I've
been using these for years to ship coturnix eggs with no problems. I can't remember when the last time was that coturnix eggs I sent in these cartons arrived with ANY broken. Now buttons is a different story, every time I try to use these for buttons I have some get broken. Once my quail start laying I'll be offering eggs in the PLASTIC cartons and we'll see what's what then.

You said yourself that the way you pack usually has a few broken, have you ever TRIED the plastic cartons??

Well I think that since most (all?) insulation has small pieces of GLASS in it, and there are several people that have severe reactions to touching insulation, that's probably not the best suggestion you've made.
