Hatching 11-13-09..anyone else?

I have Mille Fleur Cochin eggs due on the 14th. They're from my first trio. I'm going to candle right now...

Ok, all 6 of them are cooking along. Now to see how many hatch!

I also will be hatching on the 13th. I started with 6 BCM and now have 5 left, number 6 a quiter. Will be candling here later and at
5:30pm going into lockdown. They really need to hatch due to the fact on 13th the National is on 14th. Good Luck to all.

OMGOMGOMG!!! I HAVE BABIES!!! Well, baby, but still!

I wasn't expecting anything until tomorrow, but mamma hen got up and THERE IS A LITTLE FLUFFY BUTT IN THERE!!

I quickly noted about 4 or 5 others have pipped, so should be soon!

AACK! What do I do now!!!

The nest is still up high - mom is still dutifully sitting there, keeping little dude warm. Or dudette, hopefully. I was going to get some hay and make a nest down low in a dog x-pen in the coop with water and chick starter... I just thought I had a little more time!

Now, to figure out how to post pics!

Two Babies! And a third zipping! Woo hoo! And mom is sick of me interrupting her to try to see what's going on.

Actually, I think I'm going to use a plastic tub to segregate babies in... mom can get in and out but they can't.

The one in the pic is one of yours. I can't tell the others yet because mom is steadfastly obscuring my view. I labeled the eggs before she set them. There's another yellow one that is drying off, and a darker one that is zipping. I think.

There are 5 EEs (yours) and 3 that are mine: EE/black cochin or EE/whatever the heck my big rooster is. (He's either EE or sexlink as no one has been able to identify him definitively.)
