Hatching Again! Oops! Brooding in winter

That is THE MOST AWESOME BARN! What potential! I am a green eyed monster wishing I had that space! No wonder your hatching like crazy! Best of luck to you with your hatches - hope the BLRWs do wonderfully - they'll look great out there! I'll be setting my first BLRs first part of next month. Pretty exciting! Gotta try out the 1588 I have ordered. Hope it gets here in time!

And your Big Red is beautiful too - and his baby! Good Luck!

Farmer Kitty you must be getting the single digits we had last nite - it was cooooold!

We had single digits yesterday morning too! This morning it was 9 degrees at 3:50 a.m. Not weather I'm setup to raise chicks in that's for sure. I'll have to wait until spring.

I don't miss Wisconsin winters, that is for dang sure!

I left Wisconsin when I was 19. Colorado Springs is much nicer in the winter than Wausau! But, if it wasn't for the hurricanes, I would be living on a beach in the gulf coast by now

Hopefully some of those chicks are red orp PULLETS for your project. Who knows, maybe one day you will be selling hatching eggs to the members of BYC with remarkable results!

I have two LG 9200's with the turners. Still air, with sponges for humidity. Helps they are in the bathroom when people shower it kind of makes it better.
I got the temp constant finally last night

I hear you! I am sick of thinking we have to pack up and run every season. So far we have been really lucky. I could do without the humidity down here though. It is rough in the summer.

I have a friend I think is going to dig out her big cabinet bator and see about selling it to me. Hopefully in January. Just in time for spring! LOL

I have two of the Hovabator 1602. Not as nice a window as the 1588 but I am very happy with them. Had an LG and basically threw it out as I could never get the temps to stay put. Baked too many quail eggs this last summer.

Well, I have 14 eggs in the bator tonight!

Wow Miss P, that looks like my set up!
I just had a blue cochin pop out 2 more behind it and in the bator 40 or so more and 40 or so more going in! My DH is totally convinced that I am crazy! LOL
