In regards to frizzle: these chicks are a from our 9 year old daughters breeding project, she breeds serama for fun with trying to master the frizzle gene with the tiny chicken! It works for me as they do not need a ton of space! THANK YOU FOR SUPPORTING HER to everyone who has purchased her eggs! It means the world to us!! she is working with the frizzle gene with this project to get the cutest birds ever!

REMINDER THAT NOT EVERY CHICK WILL BE FRIZZLED PLEASE READ GENETICS BELOW...

Basic Breeding and Genetics

Frizzles are not always frizzled, which is very important to remember, but they are all still frizzles nonetheless. When two exhibition Frizzles are mated 25% will be smooth feathered, 50% frizzled (of varying quality) and the remaining 25% will be extremely frizzled. We have both straight feathered as well as frizzled hens and roos.

The Frizzled birds are self explanatory, as they have frizzled plumage as per the breed standard, although the degree of curl will vary from just lifted, to those exhibition quality birds with a good curl towards the head.

Smooth feathered frizzles, whilst having no curl whatsoever are very important in the breeding pen. This is because after breeding frizzle-to-frizzle for a few years the feather quality of the frizzled birds can deteriorate, so that the feathers (especially the flight and tail feathers) become very narrow and brittle. Introducing a smooth feathered frizzle into the breeding pen every now and again will combat this, ensuring the feathers of the frizzzled birds remain soft and broad.

No Live Egg Guarantee: Unfortunately, fragile embryos in hatching eggs can easily be destroyed during shipment by any number of causes including rough handling, temperature extremes, fluctuating air pressure in airplanes, and X-ray scanners. Although we take great care in packing eggs for shipment, we bubble wrap, air cell up and double box only fresh eggs, we cannot guarantee the viability of any hatching eggs that we ship to customers. The customer assumes all the risk of damage or loss during shipment, you can file a claim with USPS if they are at fault with late or damage box, see CLAIMS below.

We also have some chicks available for local pick up!

Hi Alicia!  I highly suggest sticking with 12+ eggs esp from PA to TX thats a long way and who knows what they could endure enroute.

You will have to check back with us when you are ready! as hens are the decision makers

Ok I will Get back to you when I'm ready FOR SURE. I have just fallen in love with your chickens!!! Do you have an email or phone number so I will be able to contact you easier and faster if you do and don't want to put it on here you can PM me. Yes, I like Skillet the best too. Girlfriend, I really did the best with them. Out of the 24 (19) were fertile and growing. Eggs cells were the best by far with how you package and ship. The problem was with humidity and I (ok am a baby snatcher, I ADMIT IT) and (YES, I open and close the BATOR a lot )

it was my fault that I didn't get more little beauties and I caused the "sticky chick" with most of them FORGIVE ME

. Im looking forward to the babies next week sometime.
Anyway, to those people that are newbies - DONT TOUCH THE F'n BATOR!!!!!! It's like speeding towards a red light, you are still going to have to stop so why not coast and save gas? Waiting will definitely be more rewarding to see many lil fluffy butts then unhatched eggs. Just Sayin

I am sorry y'all I am going through some illness, I am trying to get HarmonyAnn to handle this on her own with her daddy, bear with us, I sold most of my own flock, but she has her little frizzles yet, but I havent got her to take her silkie girl out of the pen yet and been able to make a trip out to be sure she has them all separated correctly even though she says she has them correct, she doesnt want to take her silkie girl away from her friends, so this may be a fuss in the end, they are her buds ya know, so give me some time and I hope to be able to make it out there soon to be sure so she can start selling instead of eatin. we will only have her littles and I kept legbar and I will have Heritage RIR under the Legbar roo, eggs to send along as well. So keep this in mind, she may do ebay listings to make it easy on her, but I promise to inform you all. I am so sorry, sometimes stuff just well it just happens :( hoping my sunshine returns soon
