I am so tired of rain...and it has only been 2 days! (I could never live in seattle, as much as I love visiting there.)

We have 550 lbs of dogs...indoor dogs...that track mud in.  And one of them jumped on my bed yesterday evening and got the comforter completely muddy.

The husband better never complain about my chickens...that's all I'm sayin'.
I've got about the same in dog weight, and made sure they all know to stop in the mud room for towels and feet wipes. It makes a huge difference!

:weee Got my beautiful eggs today from Candace. They are resting and will be joining others to go into the bator for count of 42!!!!

Yesterday, I had 2 polish chicks hatch and aren't they adorable little things. Wish I could figure out how to add pictures from my iPad it would be so much easier.

Hope everyone has a great day.

We seem to have entered a monsoon season or something. We've had rain for 2 WEEKS! I'm going crazy. I had moved the Bresse chicks into a tractor that is on a built up sand bed, but I had to move them back into a brooder because the water rose over the sand. I have got to figure something out because they're getting pretty cramped. I need the rain to stop now!!! And we don't have mud any more...we have soup. :(

Does anyone know of anyone that would have an Spangled Old English Game Bantam Rooster for sale. I went out this morning and mine (named Bean) had passed. He was fine yesterday when my husband checked on him. I don't know what happened. It was raining yesterday and then the temp dropped to teen's last night. Feel bad about loosing him...
If anyone has one or knows of one, Please let me know

I have my GSD trained when I say get in the shower she heads right to the downstairs bath and gets in the shower stall. So much easier to use the hand held and spray her off.

I'll check around. Lots of people with OEGB's in this area. I'm just not sure on the Spangled.

I was wondering how you were. I was talking to DM last night and she said that their yard is a lake. I guess her chickens are so desperate for scratch and dust bathing that they took out a huge planter and even flew up into the large hanging baskets on the porch around the house. I felt bad but the imagery of chicken dusting in hanging baskets literally made me :lau I think mom got a little upset at first but them joined me in the laughing. You can always hitch a ride with them on up here to Oregon! ;)
