Does anyone know of anyone that would have an Spangled Old English Game Bantam Rooster for sale. I went out this morning and mine (named Bean) had passed. He was fine yesterday when my husband checked on him. I don't know what happened. It was raining yesterday and then the temp dropped to teen's last night. Feel bad about loosing him...
If anyone has one or knows of one, Please let me know
Billie Sue

Aw, I'm sorry. I will look around for you!

Feel better soon! I was a CNA when we got married. I loved the job, for the most part (nursing home, Alzheimer's unit-my choice!

), but it is very hard work.
I was just wondering about her myself.

Thanks, BM6! Yeah, I worked in the nursing home in Machias, ME for years. I really enjoyed it, but we had one ambulatory patient (well, semi-ambulatory) who topped 300 lbs. One day she started going over, I was the only one in reach... lol! She didn't break anything, thank goodness, but my back's never been right since :) Ah well!

Having mid-morning tea and catching up on the thread real quick. Then it's back to work for me!

Got my beautiful eggs today from Candace. They are resting and will be joining others to go into the bator for count of 42!!!!

Yesterday, I had 2 polish chicks hatch and aren't they adorable little things. Wish I could figure out how to add pictures from my iPad it would be so much easier.

Hope everyone has a great day.

deelake, I'd love to see them when you do get pictures! Polish were a breed I never thought I wanted. Then again, I thought the same thing about silkies...

Someone asked for pictures of my Hatcher.... I am slow but here they are

It was just a plywood box when we got it. We cut the hole for the window and added some tempered glass (came from my rotisserie that we made the turner for the incubator)

Insulated top and bottom and sides. That wire it the probe for the digital thermostat.

Some of the mechanics. I have a light for extra heat since the flexwatt does not get it hot enough. I have a laptop fan mounted on that wood. I did that so it would not BLOW directly on the eggs. The water in the yellow can has sponges and a 1/2 a towel to get the humidity up and it stays up. If I need MORE I just drape the towel over the edge.

The fan is plugged up outside the hatcher and runs ALL the time. The plugs inside are controlled by the thermostat and the light bulb and the flexwatt are plugged into that.

So you can see the flexwatt. That is metal printing plates behind the flexwatt since it has to be mounted on non flammable surface.

One day we will put the thermostat in a project box so it will look nicer.

If you have questions just ask. My son wired it so I will not be able to help much.

I have a question...I hatched a batch of marans all my varieties....bcm,blue pen, blue roo covers blue girls, splash pen bcm over the splash girls....makes only blue babies. I hatch 36 maran eggs...well that's what went into the hatcher at lockdown. So far only five eggs haven't hatched..so I am waiting. So far out of these babies. Three are silver....like lavender...super light silvery color...not like splash...I have some of those too. Has anyone seen this? Is this like a self- blue? If so will they feather out like a lav am? Tose are considered self blue for showing...that's what Cindy said...she just told me if I wanted to show show the lavs under self blue.....I HAVE to know what color these gorgeous shimmering silver babies will be..??? Thanks ya'll

I wish I had an answer for you! I have no idea :) They sound lovely!
