That little chick to the side looks like it's thinking "So does that mean we can keep him? Huh? Huh?"

Crazy! Can y'all see what I'm talking about? Seems like with the lighter eggs it fades or dissipates after a while but sometimes sticks around with the olives and Marans eggs. maybe extra humidity around that part of the egg? Super weird.

Oh wow! I have to admit, I've never noticed that. Then again I don't have any marans laying yet :) Also not a horribly humid climate here -- I have no idea what would cause that but it looks pretty cool, actually

RED ALERT!!! These shipping boxes are in Memphis, TN (hub) with NO LABEL!!!!!
If you shipped chickies yesterday please let me know so we can get these birds where they are going!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Not kidding... pass the word around. You can also email me at [email protected]

Bobbi, also an USPS employee, said the labels tore off during transit.
Someone either didn't tape the label on very well, or else it was deliberately removed. How did it just come off?
I wonder if they could open them up and see what kind of birds they are? I would think if they are fed and watered, someone soon will be looking for them-they probably already are!

I see this alot when getting eggs out of the fridge. It happens to lighter eggs, too!

it does especially on the olive eggers but it's weird. No clue why and I've even let some out of shipments because it was so prominent and looked so strange but wanted to see if anyone else ever encountered it. It seems to be mores when they're in the carrier on the counter overnight. Maybe the swelling of the wood? or moisture from the wood? I dunno. They still hatch just fine!

Here's todays proof!

Oh and Donna! I got a fantastic rate on your eggs. The Ams had a hard time. Not sure if they're going to make it. They're still in the brooder. I was silly and put them on their sides.

You think I would've learned. I had a 90% hatch today!

Shellie, PM your e-mail address to me and I'll pass it on.

This is her latest response.

I'm in Florida... They called me because I ship a lot... Not mine, thank goodness... Writing right on the box with at least a phone # is a great idea.

I've used that e-mail address for her before.
