I would take them in a heartbeat, but my incubator is full. Silkies sell for a premium here. I would list them in the for sale pages as a 1 day auction if there isn't any response on here.

Incubators full here too.....

I responded ........

Not sure if I have anything you want though.

I'm limited to a tabletop for the move. Originally, I wasn't supposed to move ANY eggs mid-incubation... *sigh* however, George saw a fridge bator and pointed it out... while it was far too expensive, it opened the door to talking about building the next one!

Jim, how big do they get and how good of layers?

I'll need to double check my SOP ( I can't remember manure (fill in appropriate synonym)). They are big birds that lay well. This is Gary Underwood's line. There have been 2 or 3 outccrosses in the 99 year history of the line. The most recent was to introduce the Rose Comb in the 1970's. I've been told the other out crosses have been to production reds. When nobody else is laying, I still get at least an egg evrryother day from my RIR. If I cut back on breeds, the RIR are not going anywhere.

Terrible, terrible evil people. I just said yesterday that I will not get another incubator. And here I sit....trying to calculate space.
We had 5 little giant incubators in our bedroom going full force- even sitting on top of each other because of space for the majority of the year last year. We kept saying one more wouldn't be so bad. Of course now we have 2 sportsmans and we are still on the lookout for another one.

We are only a lot hatch happy

Hey everyone,

I have another batch of silkie eggs to ship out tomorrow. There are 36+ of em and I can do all of em for one swap or split them up for two swaps. If anyone is interested in them pm me with offers. I am interested in about anything, just ask. Thanks, Clarence

Cmon, I know someone wants these

I also have 7 turkey eggs that can go tomorrow. They are from my bourbon red pen which I have a BR tom, 2 BR hens, and 4 bronze hens so not sure who is laying

I turned my incubator on to do some test hatches (just the styrofoam one) but since I set several groups of eggs, I needed to turn the cabinet on so the styrofoan could be used as a hatcher. So far I have 1 Speckled Sussex, 1 Icelandic, and one BCM hatched. A bantam Langshan died pipping. I have pips in BCM, Iowa Blue, Welsummer, and RIR and a BCM zipping. Now if my girls would lay more than 4-5 eggs a day so I can fill the cabinet for spring sales.

Yes, AyeUpChuck, the bator is on. LOL

WV, you sure are tempting me but I HATE owing eggs. I already owe 2 swaps because the girls quit laying and I batch I sold and 2 offered as prizes for the NYD hatch. UGH!
