OMG. Coffeekittie, wow! I've lived in some pretty tiny places (some even hand-built, yep! Ol' hippie chick, here) but never with chickens!!! The only way I could see to make that work would be to build a loft bed with cage under it, or something. YOWZA!

On the other hand, I bet they'll be the tamest chickens EVER

Yeah....the youngest babies fall asleep as soon as I pick them up, and like to nestle up against my neck. I don't plan on having chickens or rabbits living with me permanently!

My little home will be larger than where I am now - 8' by 20' with a good sized sleeping loft. Just me and my cats.

Here are this week's current standings as of 12:00AM, Fri. Nov. 2. For all potential new swappers, we welcome your participation, but please read the rules on page 1, post #1 of this thread.

We have started a new game to help keep everyone within their allotted swaps and give an opportunity to win special prize eggs from CPL. (This game has been approved by CPL) Whenever someone goes over 7 swaps, they lose 2 swaps the following week. The first person to catch it and post "Jinx"- (name of person going over), gets an extra swap in the current week. If crazypetlady (CPL) goes over, everyone gets an extra swap that week, and the first person to catch her and post "Jinx-CPL" gets a special prize of eggs from CPL. Start stalking!

Those in red are done swapping until 12:01 EST on Sun. Nov. 4. Those in yellow are getting close to a limit.

As I have been internet challenged this week, and posting has been difficult, I have narrowed the published list of unrestricted swappers to only those that have actually participated this week. The "new swappers" list will remain as complete as I have so everyone will know who they are.

OK, let me see if I can explain this better. Below is a list of the new swappers that still have to complete their initial 7 swaps, so are limited to one swap at a time until each one is verified. Once you have been cleared by crazypetlady, reesepoultry, kraftyladies, or coffeekittie for another swap, you may claim another, regardless of what my list says. I don't keep track of whose swaps have been verified, just the swappers that need to have that done. My list is only published once a night, but your swapping status may change a few times during the day. Once all of your 7 initial verified swaps are completed, your name will be moved to the big list. I may not have everyone's name here that is already swapping, but all new swappers will be added here until I hear differently. As long as all your previous swaps have been completed and verified, you are good to go! Happy swapping!

Everyone,

I am going to be running the "Secret Santa" for the Paypal/Hatching Egg Swap. Anyone that wants to participate and has ideas on how we should do it, please PM me. I have some ideas but as a newbie, I don't want to just dive in and look like I am trying to take over.

I was thinking we could handle it one of two ways, we can either do it kind of like a mystery swap where we could have categories of what we would like to have and what we can donate, or we could set a $$ limit and have each person give some personal information which would make creating a gift for that person easier. Obviously if you want hatching eggs that would need to be listed as something that you would want, and I would then try to match up with someone willing to send eggs in a geographical area where the weather conditions won't be as much of an issue.

Just send me your ideas and let me know what you want. I will then be more than happy to try to fulfill your wishes. Just think of me as the Christmas Genie. (However you don't want to picture me that way. WAAAY too old for that image to need to be in anyone's mind.)

Wow, that's impressive!! I saw a special once on tiny homes, I was amazed how much stuff they could fit in their, utility wise... pretty amazing... You have all my respect...If I lived alone, I wouldn't mind something like that, either, but with kiddos, I would probably be sent to the loony-bin, haha

Hey guys, Ive got another batch of eggs to go out saturday if anyone is interested in side swaps. There are 39+ tomorrows. Will be 21+ silkies from black, white, and partridge pens and 18+ bb red old english game ( standard not bantams ). Would like to swap for seramas, swedish flower hens, ccl, tolbunts, nj, guineas, turkeys, ect., ect... I dont want eggs till spring. If anyone wants these pm me and let me know. Thanks, Clarence
