I will tell him that.

I think he thinks I don't need any more hatching eggs and this is somehow limiting me.

but I will try convincing again tonight...he is there until friday morning.

I know, right? He doesn't understand at all...it's just killing me. He says that he doesn't want to transport them in his soft sided bag...I'm like: she will PACK them with bubble wrap and you carry them on in a box!

You guys with supportive spouses don't know how good you have it...or maybe you do. Give them a big huge hug for me! I am just so frustrated!!!
I know how good I got it. When mine drove to FL for work, he dropped eggs off in NC and picked up eggs on the way back. While he was in FL he was looking for silkie breeders to get eggs/chicks from to bring back with him.

Good morning!

mine flat out refuses to pick up any chicks/birds/eggs. He drives all over the west when he tours. So, you're not alone.

ok. I just sent out the bantam b/b/s orps to thespoiledchicken

tracking # 9114901075742385247630

Does this mean I can swap again??

ok some pictures from yesterdays hatch. These are from Aye These are pictures of the new incubator. It holds 50 goose per drawer! So worth the price, we will be ordering a second to run them side by side for the goose eggs only so we never have to limit chicken and duck egg space.
:weee that's awesome!!!! You've got some gorgeous buff down in there. They're breeding true but are still throwing a few things that need to be weeded like four toes and silver wheaten every once in a while. I think that's technically silver duckwing wing under wheaten if I remember correctly which I probably don't. And I think those are :drool though my partner in crime is not a fan since they are buff after all :( Just don't tell her I'm keeping some of the silver wheaten hens for my personal eye candy! :lau That looks like a great hatch I sent 15 or 16 right? And you got 13 babies????? Oh and I know you've posted it a ton already but can you post the website for the gentleman that makes these hatchers? I seriously want one!

So I have a question. What causes a chick's beak to start pointing to one side? meaning it's not straight.
Cross beak is from what I understand ( mostly from quail but it is similiar) it is genetic but comes out ROM incubator temps. So it needs both to happen. Like cancer some people are more prone but you usually need an environmental trigger to set it off.
You will have to let us know how they taste. Does anyone plan to finish off the White Bresse like the French?
We have a dark space set out but I'm unliky to leave them alone and complety immobile. I do intend to do the rest of the diet withpowderedmilk and whole grains and provide bugs and fodder for50% or more of their daily needs.

You could check with happychooks she has amazing wellies.

Lav AMs have been found.
I got my first turkey egg yesterday! Now to see if it was afluke or not...

Woke up this morning milked the momma goat that doesn't like her baby goat- bottle fed the baby goat, fed/watered chickens, come back to the house to find in my brooder that one of my only 2 Chocolate Wyandottes (one was a hen and one was a roo by my feather sexing- great odds) was dead- all chirpy and bouncy yesterday and this morning just dead! Hopefully I will have some more eggs shipped when the fertility rate has better odds. Until then.... one little lonely choc wyandotte.
