Congrats! How big was it or did they eat the entire shell too?

They ate everything they pigs. That's why I'm not sure which one it was. I'm thinking duck by the bit of shell I was able to see, but that was with them playing keep away and me in the house.

Sadie (chinese white) has been going in the turkey house and rearranging. Much to the turkeys dismay. I haven't seen the ducks go in, but they are camouflaged in coloring. I could easily miss them. It unusual but not unheard of for them to lay during the day, so I'm leaning towards Sadie. I see their pouches are all extending too. Better get that messy muck cleaned or i will have filthy eggs.

Did a closer inspection of the chicks, and there are two iffy. One won't put weight on the left leg, although I don't spot any abnormality. The second is just strangely weird. I may end up putting both down, but not yet. :(

I just put down 3 of my birds.  What a crummy day.  Now I'm deciding whether to go out and eat dinner to cheer me up.  I find it so hard to just cook for one when most of my food is packaged for 2 or more.

I know the feeling. We run the fridge empty while my hubby is gone. I love to cook, but it's just not the same. So sorry about the birds. It's always a hard choice.

I would :( but my rooster was killed last month :( I am still building back up my bantam cohin flock, since coons have killed 6 since October. And now I have nighttime lockdown coops
