Yes, I would say so. I have not had WBB yet, but never lost a BBB to disease yet ;)

We raise WBB and they are awesome. I've never had a sick turkey, but with the broad breasted variety you shouldn't. They just aren't around long enough for problems to really become prevalent. Now if you become attached and are unable to butcher that favorite one just realize they do get rather large.

This is Eva. She's my fat girl. She's now 2 years old which is old for fat girls, but so far still going. I think running with the midgets keeps her healthier than if she sat on her considerable derrière all the time. We lost our other fat girl Gracie on New Year's Eve. They don't live as long as heritage breeds, but they have the gentle giant thing going for them. We've never had a sick turkey. Injured that's another story.

I can tell you that you are going to find turkeys have awesome personalities.

I am finally feeling normal again after almost a week in bed. I have not been able to keep up with y'all though, lol. My second incubator arrived today! So excited I can stagger hatches now

I don't think that the DH is too thrilled by this whole idea, but he has been supportive none the less.

I have seen a few discussions about dry counties on here, wanted to chime in and say, as a resident of UT, I understand weird liquor laws. OK, I don't understand why they are there, but I can sympathize anyway. We can't buy wine in a grocery store here, only the State Liquor store. Also, beer, the only alcoholic beverage that can be sold outside of the liquor store, is watered down here (a lower % alcohol). Finally, we cannot ship alcohol in. Can't join a wine of the month club or take advantage of ProfTi's home brew

Awe you'll have to go visit one of us.

On the bright side you the are in one of the prettiest valleys. I haven't been there since shortly after my older son was born, but it was pretty when I lived there.
