CPR - That's pretty coll that you get to move away from the crazy neighbor! and cool on the two new breeds.

Mstre- I just had something similar happen with this power outage. (We still don't have power by the way!) and I have 16 new babies so far. but they were due to hatch on friday and are still hatching now so give them some extra time.

Not having power is really starting to bite. the main issue is hot running water. we have to wait for the wood stove to heat up in order to make coffee...so i still dont have any this morning. And you really dont realize how much you use hot water during the day until you dont have it. just for a rag to wipe down the counter or clean up a spill. we have hand sanitizer but it just doesn't do eveything that hot water can.

so 5 days and counting...thank gooodness for the wood stove and the generator. (we have the fridge and freezer intact!)

Ugh still no power for you? That stinks! We got it back late Friday. This area just doesn't know how to handle snow. Hope you get it back soon.

We had a storm come thoughon tuesday...lots of really wet, heavy snow. lost power just as my incubator was going into lockdown.

a few questions for those sending spring chicks........
about when do you consider it spring??
would there be any objections to having them sent to someone else ?

i am in the process of making some major changes ...downsizing, and looking for just specific breeds...so.... most of the chicks I have coming in the spring, I have offerd to others near me, just wondering if they could be sent directly to them...

I never would of imagined it to be this hard to pick only a few breeds. i have finally narrowed it to 4 different breeds.

So you guys always do so many fun things, I thought I would come up with a fun idea for Easter. A secret easter bunny! Here are the rules, let me know if you want to play.


SECRET EASTER BUNNY BUDDY BOX:

Here are the rules:

1. Send me a pm with your name and address by Wednesday, March 20nd. Please mark if you have any allergies or anything you cannot have (like emu’s lol).
2. I will pull all of the names out of a hat and pm you your assigned buddy’s name and address before Friday, March 22nd.
3. Send a box filled with whatever “treats” you think your buddy would appreciate. These can be eggs, chicks or home-created goods. This is supposed to be fun, so anything to make someone smile!
4. Ship your box around March 26 or 27 with a target receipt date of March 29th.
5. Open your surprise Easter packet on March 29th!
6. Have fun!!!!!

My spring is already here so those getting spring babies better be ready lol, If the people live close to you why noy just deliver the birds? I personally wouldnt like shipping a claimed swap to someone random and then have them upset if something happened to them during shipping.

I think as long it is alright between the swapee and the shipper there shouldn"t be a problem JMO
As a matter of fact someone claimed my eggs during one of the backward swaps and I am sending them to someone else
