It warmed up here for a few days and some Easter Lilly's bloomed and a few little wild flowers popped up, then boom - 22 degrees at night, 30' during the day and "frozen flowers"! It was in the 70's here in December - I think Spring is skipping us and we will go straight into Summer - 90's+

So I've decided to keep the Augsburger chicks. It's such a unique looking breed and it's black. I'm happy with that. And the fact it is a extremely rare and endangered breed. More reason to keep and breed them.

I feel your pain.  We're suppose to get snow Monday but then the temps are suppose to go up to in the 50s the rest of the week.  Come on Spring.  I want to see greenery and flowers blooming.

I don't know whether the be jealous of you guys or not. The last last time I saw snow was when my DW and i were vacationing in Washington In 2009. I'd love it to stay cooler a while longer, but its forecasted to be 86 and stormy today. It was 90 this past Tuesday and back down to 67 this coming Monday. This Texas weather isn't sure what it wants to do.

Looked up pictures and the Augsburger are very pretty. Don't know why, but I have always been partial to Black, shiny chickens. I like the cone also.

Morning all .................. woke up to a sore throat this morning. Gonna make for a long day.

We have two white sebbies hatched, a mess of khaki ducklings hatched. Have a dewlap and another sebbie externally pipped, and Lavender Laced Orps in lockdown from Gabble, as well as EE from our stock and Light brahma

I feel your pain. I've had a sore throat for the past 3 days. Not fun!
