sorry folks I've been all over this site & haven't a clue where to ask a general question but here goes... if anyone can answer I'd be grateful...

are bantam BLR wyandotte eggs smaller than silkie eggs? I had purchased a Bantam Black wyandotte but her eggs were so tiny I end up selling
her... I want a BLR wyandotte ** I have bantams yet don't want to purchase another bantam wyandotte IF their eggs are smaller than my silkie eggs.

Can Anyone help me out ?
thanks

The lav maran proj eggs are spoken for, but I still have white orp eggs available . There are 9 plus whatever is there to collect when I get home. Could also hatch and deliver if along the route of my trip in may. PM me if interested.

So I was talking to my PO guy the other day and asking why so many fragile boxes come damaged etc. he said some people just suck and sadly they get a kick literally out of damaging fragile boxes. Not that all damage is intentional either. He recommended that on expensive or large orders I make sure to get insurance. He said it would be less likely that they would get damaged in that case because USPS have to do an investigation when they have to reimburse SO that's what I've been doing on large orders recently and so far they get there on time or faster than expected and in perfect shape. Will just have to see if that continues to be the case!

That's funny because the only box I received in a garbage bag was insured. Everything else has been small or no damage. My PO says that the biggest problem is the " If it fits it ships." It's cheaper to send heavy parts in those small priority boxes. So a lot of heavy things can get tossed ( yes they are told to toss boxes not hand carry, as its all about time required with most work done) on top of lighter more fragile boxes. They just don't really care.

Sad
Makes you wonder what the point is in even labeling them such.

Hint hint, SFH on RBA.

I think they have moved their sales to RBA. There have been lots of auctions lately. I would say you won't be seeing anymore Partridge Barthuhners for auction. From what I gathered they have culled the whole flock down to a trio after I sent her a few pictures of the cross beak chicks I was having to cull. So far I haven't found anymore.

I like ducks in a weird way. I like how they look, I like how they taste, but that's the extent of it. They're sloppy, hate human contact and just aren't "pets".
The only breed we have had who has been a "lover of humans" has been our Muscovys. Pinky will try to be your yard parrot, it can be painful if your not paying attention.
I think it has alot to do with their socialization and human contact. When we bought Pinky and The Brain (who...had no brains..), they both would not let you near them. Kids can be the best for socialization of animals. Ours tend to drop food, offer handouts on purpose, and pick fresh treats for the birds out of the garden no matter how many times you say no. In return, we have ducks who follow in a line behind you no matter where you go.

I'm sorry but I don't think BLRW eggs will be any bigger then the black ones. Silkies lay pretty big eggs for being bantams. Most bantams lay small eggs.
