Hello happy chicken friends- just wanted to share my newest great find

I'm sure everyone is having the same problem as me keeping chicks separated during lockdown

I'm currently hatching in my Hovabator and placing similar eggs in separate baskets for the hatch. Problem is the tallest basket I can get to fit in the Hovabator in no match for my Ameraucanas and Olive Eggers. I swear those guys hit the ground running. I think they even have the pecking order established before they hit the brooder- lol crazy chickens.

So check it out- found these really cool bug catcher toys in my local drug store. They were 3 dollars each

Flippin' brilliant!!!! My wonderfully hubs tried to make me hardware cloth "baskets" kinda rings of hardware cloth that I could seperate out with but the little guys are still climbing over, and we can't go higher in the current Hova since I have a rack for the thermo in the way. But the new hatcher only get's here Tues so we can try a more permanant solution.

Yikes! That's 2 pm PST! I was going to be in the garden.... Hopefully I do better on this than the WYGS, I've managed to stall it!!! Grrr, and it's for Beth's SFH eggs.

Good afternoon! I sure have a lot of posts to go back and read from yesterday… y'all were busy!

I have a question about shipping chicks. How many do you need to ship for them to be safe? Don't you need a certain number to ensure warmth or something? I have heat packs as well.
