You need to send 25 chicks together for the warmth... I suppose if you had a heat pack that would for sure last long enough and not be too hot, you could send less... I'd be nervous with the heat pack personally....

We ship no fewer than 6 chicks or 6 ducklings (1 week in age or less) with a 72 hour heat pack and they travel/arrive A-OK.

during more winter like times (for those who suffer with winter) no fewer than 10 with a heat pack

I shipped 2 9 week old chicks from Texas to South Dakota with a 60 hr heat pack and they did fine. They left Texas and it was 80F. When they got to SD, it was 30F.
